Mumbai

Mumbai has been hit by several bombs and foreigners have been taken hostage. The gunmen were intentionally targeting foreigners, according to witnesses, by seeking out people with UK and US passports. Two luxury hotels in Mumbai have reportedly been bombed, the Oberoi hotel and the Taj Mahal; where hostages are being kept. The railway station, Chhatrapati Shivaji, was also targeted killing, 10 people, says the BBC. Shooting also broke out at a hospital and restaurants; that are regulars for tourists. Reuters is reporting that 80 people have been killed, 250 people injured and that an organisation called Deccan Mujahideen have accepted responsibility. They sent emails to news organisations within India. Fire is reported to be spreading through the Taj Mahal hotel; troops are now at the scene of the Oberoi Hotel and the Taj Mahal Hotel.
